Cenote Ponderosa

Also called Cenote Eden, is located just 3km/ 2 miles south of Puerto Aventuras in the Riviera Maya, about a 20-minute drive from Playa del Carmen.
It offers a cavern tour that starts from the large entrance of El Eden to the even larger cenote Coral, where divers swim along an amazing and very long curtain of light with several meters long mangrove roots on the background. The first part of the cavern line leads through a large tunnel, before opening up and then falls again and run along cave entrances and into a strong halocline effect, with impressive temperature differences. Along the way, many fossils are on display, and even remains of Mayan pottery. Returning to the main entrance, we can see a surprisingly large amount of freshwater marine life.

Cenote Tajma-Ha

Tajma-Ha it's one of the best cavern diving tours in the Riviera Maya. Located 5kms/ 3 miles south of Puerto Aventuras in the Riviera Maya, about a 30 minute drive from Playa del Carmen.
This amazing cavern features everything that you expect from a cavern dive, dense halocline, intense light curtain into the Sugar Bowl and three razor sharp light rays into the cenote Points of Light and green light rays falling from the cenote Esmeralda, its water stained green by the tannic acids and on raining days it might get yellowish. The dive requires a good control of buoyancy, as it presents an aggressive saw-like profile. At the end of the dive, surfacing into the Points of Light will allow divers to enjoy the sight of the bats hanging from the cavern’s ceiling.

Cenote Kukulkan

Kukulkan is the Mayan Feathered Serpent god. It is also one of two dives on the Chac Mool site, South of Playa del Carmen. The dive features an incredible light show as the sun rays falls into the huge cavern entrance and create a curtain of blue light beams through the crystal clear water. This is a known sight for many divers, as it is a favorite of photographers and is featured in many dive magazines. Divers can also observe beautiful crystals incrusted in the walls. Below 10m, divers will follow the cavern line and swim below the halocline, where two body of waters flow on top of each other without mixing, creating strange but beautiful visual effects.

Cenote Chikin-Ha

Chikin-Ha means in Mayan language “water from the west” due to the cenote location. The cavern has 2 entrances and the depth varies between 2-15 m / 7-49 ft. The dive tour leads you from the Chikin-Ha cenote to the Rainbow cenote, through a phreatic gallery of white rocks, dissolved in all shapes by the salt water. Divers swim through a halocline before surfacing within the roots of the jungle trees that dig through the rocks to hydrate in the underground river. Beautiful light beams reach the bottom of the cave and lead your way up to the second cenote. Upon surfacing, you can usually enjoy the sight of the motmot birds, proud symbol and guardian of the Mayan caves. Divers then make their way back from the other side of the gallery to reach their entrance in shallow waters.

(Cavern Little Brother)
The Great Jaguar in Maya, one of two dives on the site. The dive leads to the Chac Mool dome, a huge room highly decorated with stalactites and stalagmites, where you can surface in a small space under the roof and see many interesting features and wild life such as spiders, cat fish and cave worms. Divers can see many fossils along the way, and an amazing curtain of light, green or yellow, for the tannic acids that stain the water.
